Maricar Vazquez Tan, area marketing communications manager, toured us around the resort property. The lobby is furnished with eye-catching pieces created by multi-awarded Cebuano furniture designer and maker Kenneth Cobonpue, known for integrating locally sourced materials with innovative handmade production process. The comfortable seating lounges aptly called the Croissant Collection are complimented by illumination pieces playfully known as “Little People and the Whisk.”

The gardens, which are the focal point of the resort, are embedded with a menagerie of palm trees, water plants and local shrubs. Helen Benedicto, matriarch of the Benedicto clan regularly visits the resort to ensure the continuing tradition of natural garden simplicity.

Most of the rooms and suites afford a stunning view of the ocean and the free-form pool while the rest are swathed in forest greens with a silhouette of Balicasag Island and the neighboring provinces of Siquijor and Negros Oriental.

Each guest room and suite, 189 of them are decorated in dark wood furnishings with coral accents. They are fitted with an expansive king-sized bed or two large queen beds. The orange raffia headboards and lustrous capiz borders provide a distinctive local color to the otherwise modern style. Amenities include a large flat screen TV with cable, Wi-Fi accessibility, mini-bar chiller and sliding louvers that lead to a private balcony.
The 19 pool villas are set in an opulent fashion with verandas opening out into the cool green waters of a winding lagoon. Within the surroundings is The Boathouse restaurant, which features the local take of the farm (and sea) to table natural philosophy.
