A remarkable feast of flavors
Food enthusiasts from all over the metro were treated to another gastronomic feast as the leading 5-star hotel in the Queen City of the South, Marco Polo Plaza Cebu (MPPC) launched one of its popular culinary journeys, “Sabores de España.” This one-of-a-kind foodfest, held at the hotel’s top-notch signature outlet Café Marco, featured Spain’s distinctive cuisine composed of unique regional dishes, special ingredients and long-standing influences from Moorish and Arab settlers. To officially start the sumptuous affair, MPPC general manager and Marco Polo Hotels, Philippines area general manager Hans Hauri together with Spanish deputy head of mission Ignacio Perez Cambra and Spanish honorary consul Anton Perdices led the traditional slicing of the jamon Serrano. Everyone enjoyed the hearty and delectable spread of dishes made by the hotel’s team of culinary gurus led by Cebu’s authority on Spanish cuisine, Gema Pido.
