Alfredo Esquillo designs a Rimowa for auction today
MANILA, Philippines - The “Art of Travel” auction features artists Rodel Tapaya, Marina Cruz, MM Yu, and Alfredo Esquillo Jr. in a one-of-a-kind Rimowa X Philippine contemporary artists collaboration. The event is staged by Zonta Club of Makati & Environs Foundation.
The “Art of Travel” auction will be held today, 5 p.m., at Rockwell Tent. Preview of artworks on Rimowa luggage starts at 10 a.m.
Rimowa donated luggage as a way to reach Zonta’s goal for the advancement of disadvantaged women in the communities the club serves. Zonta spokesperson Maritess Pineda handpicked a group of exceptionally talented contemporary artists who have exhibited across South East Asia and, in recent years, created fabulous artworks.
Art pieces by Geraldine Javier, Ramon Orlina, Vicente Manansala, Joy Mallari, Ferdinand Cacnio and other artists will also be auctioned.
