Jessica Zafra holds second part of ‘Don’t Be a Writer’ series at Ayala Museum
MANILA, Philippines - Following the successful launch of “Don’t be a Writer,” Ayala Museum’s latest lecture series, renowned writer, columnist, editor and publisher Jessica Zafra takes audiences on an epic journey through fantasy lands in Game of Thrones, Fantasy Epics and Geek Civilization this September.
Based on the novels by George R.R. Martin, Game of Thrones has drawn millions of followers across the globe and is one of the hottest shows on television. Magnetic lead characters, rich world mythology and juicy political intrigue in a medieval fantasy setting are just some of the factors that make this series such a huge success. But perhaps even more interesting is that the story draws on the history of the United Kingdom and is enriched by other stories and mythologies the Martin was exposed to.
Inspired by the hit fantasy novels and television series, Jessica Zafra takes a look into the world of science fiction and fantasy and the nerds and geeks that love them.
The talk by Jessica Zafra, Game of Thrones, Fantasy Epics and Geeks Civilization takes place today, Sept. 6, from 3 to 5 p.m. Tickets are available at P350 for adults and P250 for students, senior citizens and members of the museum.
