Golf and the executive chair
The CWC Group of Companies featured and raffled off mid-century modern classics from the Herman Miller Collection during the 15th CWC Invitational Golf Tournament held recently at the Legends Course of the Manila Southwoods Golf and Country Club. Architect Edwin Gumila won first prize, an Eames Aluminum Group chair in leather, while Eddielou Arellano and lawyer Rico Tan took home Aluminum Group chairs in mesh. Ian Tambunting emerged as the overall winner this year. Multi-faceted artist, chef and STAR columnist Claude Tayag, creator of the tournament trophies, outdid himself with a one-of-a-kind collectible, a worthy memento for the winners. Present at the awarding ceremonies were CWC Group of Companies chairman Edward Lee and president and chief operating officer Ruben Tan, CWC International Corporation vice president Fred Yuson and public relations manager Inday Torres.
