MANILA, Philippines - Last March 11, Greenbelt, in partnership with Omega and Good Planet Foundation, launched the Planet Ocean exhibition at The Gardens of Greenbelt 5.As the premier lifestyle center that promotes environmental protection with its lush green and living spaces, Greenbelt was the preferred venue to display over 80 extraordinary photographs from above and below the ocean’s surface. The intriguing images complemented each other and offered the public a chance to appreciate the ocean from different perspectives. Environmentalist and photographer Yann Arthus-Bertrand, together with underwater photographer Brian Skerry, sent a strong message of preserving marine ecosystem through these photographs.
The formal opening was attended by Ayala Corporation chairman emeritus Jaime Zobel de Ayala, Ayala Land vice president and head of operations and support services commercial business group Rowena Tomeldan, Ayala Land assistant vice president commercial business group Javi Hernandez, founder of Good Planet Foundation and environmentalist Yann Arthus-Bertand, vice president for communications and PR of Omega Jean Pascal Perret, and Lucerne’s Ivan and Emerson Yao.
Planet Ocean is a 90-minute documentary directed by Yann Arthus-Bertrand together with Michel Pitiot, which was produced in collaboration with Omega. An exclusive screening of the documentary, which serves as a reminder of the bond between humans and nature and the duty that exists to protect and respect our planet, was shown at Greenbelt 3 cinemas.
With this campaign, Ayala Malls, Omega and Good Planet Foundation reinforce their commitment to environmental stewardship while creating world-class developments that the global community can experience. The exhibition was open to the public from March 12 to April 11.
