UST presents architecture symposium on Feb. 3
MANILA, Philippines - Architecture Network (ARCHINET), a student organization of UST College of Architecture present the 6th National Architecture Student Symposium, “Emerging Visions: Shifting Perspectives in Architectural Evolution†on Feb. 3, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at function room 5 SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City.
The one-day architectural event, featuring two of the world’s most renowned figures in architecture; Andreas Schmitzer, an architect and furniture designer and along with his senior partner Arch. Maria Planegger, establisher of Project A.01 Architects which focuses on innovations, future-oriented environment, and experimental exteriors; Paul Jones, an architect and managing director of OMA Asia, which includes OMA Hong Kong and OMA Beijing and leads OMA’s development in China and Asia.
The lectures will mainly discuss the complex process of the architects in addressing the design problems from conceptualizing to the realization of the design thereby creating a matrix of designs that when put together presents an evolution of elements continually transformed to realize the designer’s vision for the most apt approach. With innovation and technological solutions, it will tackle on how new algorithms define the new paradigm in architecture.
The symposium is the biggest student-initiated learning event ARCHINET, invites world renowned architects and professionals in a dialogue about pressing issues on architecture and the environment.
