Decades of design and durability

MANILA, Philippines - Puyat Steel Corp. and Puyat Flooring Products Inc. recently feted its loyal clientele, celebrating decades of reliability, durability and timeless design of the companies’ respective Apo roofing and flooring products.

The gathering served as a commitment from the Puyat Group for more enduring presence of Apo roofing and flooring products in the market. “We thank you for the support you have given us,” said Edgardo Puyat Reyes, chairman of Gonzalo Puyat & Sons Inc. “We have had this relationship over the years, we commit to provide you the best products and services that we can for your customers.”

The event included personalities in the field of real estate, interior design and construction — architects, engineers, property development executives, as well as retail dealers who have long been patronizing renowned Apo roofing and flooring products. The dinner was held at the Oceana Restaurant at the Mall of Asia in Pasay City.

Architect Sonny Rosal, president of the United Architects of the Philippines, recalled his relationship with Puyat Steel that started when he was still a neophyte architect.

“I always went to the Puyat Steel plant in EDSA to personally choose the steel roofing to buy. I would even drive the truck on which the roof sheets were loaded,” enthused Rosal. He has been in practice as an architect for 28 years.

Rosal has also been using Apo vinyl tiles in his many projects. He particularly likes the Mimicri line for its aesthetics and durability. “I even use it in my own house,” he shared.

Engineer John Baguio, Century Properties procurement officer, noted the value for money of Apo flooring products, which can be found in the property developer’s Canyon Ranch house and lot project in Carmona, Cavite.

Baguio similarly preferred the Apo Mimicri vinyl tiles, which achieve the look of wood flooring with more durability and less cost. Around 200 units in the project’s Phase three utilized the Mimicri products. Regular Apo vinyl tiles were used in 700 units in the first two phases.

Apart from bringing together and thanking various client companies such as Alphaland, Camella Land, DMCI Homes, Phinma Properties — the event showcased a brief retrospective on the Puyat Group’s illustrious history as a conglomerate with more than 100 years of doing business in the Philippines. The latest in Puyat Steel and Puyat Flooring world-class products — such as the lead-free APO Galfan galvanized roofing, AVQT homogenous tiles, APO Mimicri and Realwood engineered wood, and APO Powerbond tile adhesive — were also exhibited.
