MANILA, Philippines - High-end leisure developer Landco Pacific Corporation launches a special exhibition on life and leisure through creative photography. The photo exhibit entitled Leisure Through Three Lenses showcases three individual viewpoints emerging through one unique perspective while depicting discovery, fulfillment and pure joy, featuring photographers John Maria Cordero, Marvin Dungao and Stanley Ong.
Fr. John Cordero has been taking photographs longer than he has been a priest, but he approaches both vocations with equal dedication. He shares, “A priest shares the story of his friendship with Jesus. Being a photographer is merely an extension of that basic desire to share the beauty and joy of God’s creation.†Marvin Dungao, owner of The 12 Masters Photography, has covered countless nuptials, engagements, birthdays and other special occasions, but this exhibit presented him with a new challenge: “Shooting landscapes in black and white without subjects was hard for me, but I wanted to express the feeling of a scene without color or persons.â€
Stanley Ong has his own photography company having versatility as its hallmark and demonstrating a portfolio featuring subjects from celebrities and models to food and interior design. For him, leisure is literally child’s play where it was natural for him to depict leisure through children and the sense of wonderment that their youth embodies. He says, “I wanted to capture the innocence of their expressions rather than having them pose.â€
Leisure Through Three Lenses runs until Oct. 13 at the third level, Shangri-La Plaza, EDSA corner Shaw Boulevard. Part of the proceeds will benefit the Marian Missionaries of the Holy Cross Congregation.
