A Baroque-style birthday for two beauties

This year, Fila Philippines’ lovely first lady Cris Albert marked her birthday with a joint celebration with her good friend, actress and former beauty queen Ruffa Gutierrez at the Old Manila restaurant of The Peninsula Manila.  The party brought together the worlds of sports, fashion, business, politics, and the glitzy world of entertainment for a fun and fabulous evening with the Fila CEO.  The sit-down dinner featured an extravagant Baroque theme that had guests, fashion designer Rajo Laurel, CATS Motors, Inc. president Felix Ang and wife Grace, Sari Yap and Jojo Zabarte, in awe of the lavish party elements of Dom Perignon champagne, exquisitely arranged, deep-colored blooms, elaborate table settings, a decadent Swarovski crystal-accented birthday cake, and a sinful dessert to end a rich dinner of crabs, duck breast and beef tenderloin.
