Where the wait is sweet
The grand lobby of The Address at Wack Wack had its official launching recently with the Madrigal-Bayot Development Corporation (MBDC) board of directors and construction team in attendance. The double height-ceilinged lobby was finished using materials that can only be found in top-notch hotels. Upon entering the modern, New York hotel-inspired lobby, one is greeted by walls, two storys high, made of onyx marble and travertine imported from Turkey. The flooring is made of white volakas marble from Greece, accented with black marble from India — a fitting access to the upscale and elegant 32-storey residential condominium. The Address at Wack Wack in Mandaluyong City is the signature venture of MBDC led by its president Francisco Madrigal Bayot, Jr. and his son, MBDC vice president for marketing Francisco T. Bayot. GalaStars culinary school opens
Sharing the same passion as their mother, well-respected culinary expert Sylvia Reynoso-Gala, are world-class chef siblings Morella and Ernest as they started their own culinary school, GalaStars Culinary. The state-of-the-art facility, located beside Sylvia’s famed culinary training center in Shaw Blvd., Pasig City, offers a well-balanced curriculum that focuses on the theory and mastery of culinary skills whether as a chef de partie, sous chef or chef de cuisine. People close to the family — including Philippine STAR editor-in-chief Amy Pamintuan, columnist Letty Lopez and Carol Sy — as well as long-time business partners were all present during the momentous event where everyone was treated to a sumptuous array of food and overflowing drinks.
