Black and Decker challenge with Ace Hardware

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - In partnership with Ace Hardware, Black and Decker held its “Extreme Speed Challenge 2013” at SM City Fairview.

Held just in time for Father’s Day, DIY Dads competed for the King of the Drill title during the event. The challenge? Drilling five screws into wooden planks in the shortest possible time using the powerful power tool Black and Decker Cordless Screwdriver.

Rhen dela Peña was named King of the Drill 2013, Edward Malinao came in 2nd and Lito Cabo came in 3rd, and brought home great Black and Decker products.

Dads in the audience also got to experience DIY excitement at the “Build It, It’s Yours” booth. Provided with all the materials and tools needed, plus the technical assistance of B and D product specialists, they were able to build a small woodworking project. Best of all, they were able to take home their projects for free.

It was a weekend fun with the Black and Decker Power Tools Demonstration where shopper could try out cool tools like the lightweight Sander for smoothing surfaces, High Pressure Washer for easy cleaning, the Variable Speed Jigsaw for cutting wood, the Hammer Drill for drilling projects, and the Cordless Screwdriver for efficient home improvement projects.

Black and Decker power tools are available in selected Ace Hardware, Ace Builders and Ace express stores nationwide. For information, visit www.acehardware.ph.
