All eyes on SM Sky Ranch

MANILA, Philippines - While the Sky Eye is a vision in itself, the view from it is definitely a sight to behold — the best view of the Taal volcano from every turn of this giant Ferris wheel. Located in Tagaytay, SM Land’s newest development, Sky Ranch, holds the Sky Eye as its centrepiece. The towering wheel is at least 63-meters in height with 32 gondolas. Of course, there are plenty more things to enjoy in Sky Ranch like The Viking, a ship swinging, looking as if it’s being ravaged by crazy waves. There’s also the (train ride) and theme park staple carousel, perfect for the young and the young at heart. If you’re looking for something new for the kids, there’s the Riding Loop where they get to enjoy horseback riding.

The Sky Eye, being Tagaytay’s newest attraction draws a huge crowd from both local and city adventurers. We all know that heavy traffic plus the extreme heat plus overly excited children do not make for an anxiety-free, fun, relaxing trip.

Avoid the headache and enjoy the drive when you follow these alternative routes:

• SLEX Sta. Rosa exit — This is the easiest, no-brainer route to follow. This road will bring you straight to Tagaytay Public Market. Turn right and you’re already in the city proper where Sky Ranch is located.

• SLEX Greenfield exit — Probably the fastest route going to Tagaytay, you’ll be out of the car before one of the kids gets the opportunity to ask, “Are we there yet?” Follow this route to avoid the traffic build-up along Sta. Rosa — Tagaytay National Road.

• Daang Hari — If you’re up for an adventure, this is perfect for you. Tagaytay via Daang Hari Road is perfect as it passed through Molino, Bacoor, Imus, Dasmarinas and Silang, dodging the traffic along the Bacoor rotunda.

Sky Ranch is located beside the Taal Vista Hotel at Kilometer 60, Aguinaldo Highway, Tagaytay City.
