The resort-inspired Monterrazas de Cebu
Monterrazas de Cebu, the first and only mountain resort residential community is a 200-hectare sustainable development that is a thousand feet above sea level. It overlooks the cities of Cebu and Mandaue and the islands of Mactan and Bohol. It straddles eight east-oriented hills of Guadalupe and the neighboring areas of Banawa, Labangaon, Tisa, Buhisan and Sapandaku.
GENVI Development Corporation, a Cebu-based realty firm headed by Augusto Villalon and Margarita Villalon, recently marked another milestone for Monterrazas de Cebu, with the launch of the Pavilion, a resort-inspired clubhouse at the Northridge Residences, one of three phases of the masterfully planned communities of the property.
To celebrate the occasion, a festive dinner was prepared for land owners, prospective buyers and guests. The award- winning San Diego Dancers performed the Sinulog, while Sitti, the country’s premier singer belted some popular songs.
The Pavilion offers a luxurious free-form swimming pool, a kiddie pool, a social lounge, two fully equipped function rooms with Wi-Fi connectivity and a landscaped garden.
Aside from the Pavilion, Monterrazas will offer the Northridge Residents pocket parks and playgrounds, jogging trails and wide open spaces for every active lifestyle where multi- purpose courts for basketball, badminton and lawn tennis will be made available.
The development is envisioned to be environmentally sustainable, technologically up to date and replete with open public areas, secluded meditation gazebos, biking trails, quaint picnic areas, planned commercial lots and spaces for schools, hospital, office buildings and wireless Internet access for the entire Peak community and much more.
Within Monterrazas are treasures called the Peaks that offer the most spectacular view of what is beyond. At the lower section, among gradual slopes and flat areas are the Hills where the town homes and condominium will be located. Further down are the Canyons, where commercial establishments will be built.
By means of reawakening time-honored Cebuano customs and traditions of community and neighborliness, GENVI aims to uplift the quality of living in Cebu. With the use of modern Filipino architecture, it hopes to establish a strong Cebuano identity for its resident community.
