A monarch in equipment

MANILA, Philippines - Monark Equipment Corp., which was established in 1987 as the sole authorized dealer of Caterpillar equipment in the Philippines, recently marked its silver anniversary at the NBC Tent in Bonifacio Global City.

“Our loyal customers and hardworking teammates (employees) are two of the four pillars of the entire Monark Equipment organization which the company cannot survive without,” said Monark chairman Jan-B Banson. “The other two are the owners and the franchises. It’s obvious that the customers and our teammates are the main reasons why Monark continues to grow even in its 25th year as a company.”

Featured guests included product endorser Paloma Esmeria and singer Girl Valencia. The program, hosted by Gabe Mercado, was opened by Carmelita Banson, the matriarch of the Monark organization.

Monark president Edmidio Ramos Jr. explained, “Looking back, Monark has faced a lot of challenges and opportunities in the past 25 years (transforming from a fledgling dealership into a Top 500 Corporation). We had our share of successes and failures; but what’s important is that, in every step of the journey, we strive to be better and smarter.”
