Arya Residences' developer conferred the BID Euro quality award

- The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - ArthaLand, a world-class Filipino boutique developer, has won the prestigious International Arch of Europe Award 2012 recently from the Business Initiative Directions (BID). BID is a Madrid-based premier quality award-giving body that evaluates companies across the globe. ArthaLand earned the “Arch of Europe for Quality and Technology in Gold Category” in a ceremony held in Frankfurt, Germany with no less than the company’s president and CEO, Angie de Villa-Lacson, receiving the award from Jose Prieto, BID founder and president.

For companies to be nominated for the award, they must have a proven commitment to quality and show continuous quest for excellence towards customer satisfaction. Candidate companies must also be represented and backed by a member of the BID International Selection Committee. ArthaLand was chosen as a winner after a careful study of all the nominated firms. The voting process was participated in by business leaders who meet annually in New York, Paris, Frankfurt, Geneva, and London.

Among the bases used for the selection of winners were customer satisfaction, innovation, research and development, continuing education, post-sales service, TQM implementation, ISO 9000, environment, recycling, business excellence, quality, profitability, permanent growth, brand, marketing, leadership and management.

Recognizing Global Leaders

Among the leading global companies awarded by BID in the past are Operadora VIPS, Mexico from Wal-Mart; Ansaldo Energia, Italy, 310th on the Fortune Global 500 list; Turner Construction International LLC, Project Manager for the tallest building in the world; Korea Electric Power Corporation, 306th on the Fortune list; ALCOA (France Division), top aluminum producer in the world; Indian Oil Corporation, 125th on the Fortune list among others.

ArthaLand is the developer of the top-end, sustainably luxurious Arya Residences, the Philippines’ first LEED-registered high-rise residential building aiming for a Gold certification. The project is located along the McKinley Parkway in Bonifacio Global City.

Global Sustainability Standard

LEED or the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design is a rating system for the design, construction and operation of high performance green buildings, homes and neighborhoods. It is developed by the US Green Building Council (USGBC). Top-end development Arya Residences adheres to the gold standard of the USGBC for using the high measures in the utilization of resources and eco-friendly building practices.

Aside from the Arch of Europe award, ArthaLand was also a recipient of the 2011 Environmental Leadership Award from the World Wide Fund for Nature – Philippines for its support to the global environmental advocacy group’s international campaign to protect the environment and promote sustainability through Arya Residences. Last year, the company’s premium project, Arya Residences, was recognized as one of the best condominiums in the Philippines by Singapore-based Ensign Media in its first ever South East Asian Property Awards.
