Condura is built to cool
MANILA, Philippines - Launching in time for the Philippines’ hottest season of the year, leading cooling solutions provider Concepcion-Carrier introduces Condura, the only air conditioner line custom-built for extreme Philippine conditions including scorching El Niño summers and strong La Niña typhoons.
“As a tropical country, the Philippines experiences rocket-high temperatures during the summer season and hot, humid-conditions most of the year. Aside from that, our country, being an archipelago, has a climate of high salinity and acidity, making materials made of metal prone to rust and corrosion. Condura is built to withstand even the harshest Philippine conditions and is uniquely suited for our climate,” Alfie Rodriguez, sales director for Concepcion-Carrier, said.
To prove the validity of the claim, a team of engineers will put Condura head-to-head with other air conditioners in the market in a showdown of durability, endurance and adaptability. Concepcion-Carrier’s fielded contender for the testing is its newest Condura Extreme air-conditioner.
Condura Extreme makes use of a non-corrosive plastic base and rust protection coating called Durakote on all five major parts including the evaporator, compressor, fan motor, connector tubes and condenser. This feature ensures that the air-con unit will last longer and run more efficiently to cool a building or a room for many years.
The Condura Extreme is the only air- conditioner in the market that uses Durakote coating on all five parts. Durakote is a special coating exclusive to Condura that protects against seawater, vehicle emissions and moisture, bacterial contamination and rust build-up caused by dirt.
This ensures the Condura Extreme’s durability even in the harshest conditions, including resorts, industrial plants near bodies of water and city structures that face constant pollution.
Condura Jr. packs all of the brand’s distinct features in a smaller, more compact unit, suited for bedrooms and any part of the house that needs effective cooling. Like the durable Extreme line, the louver type Condura Jr. also features a rust-free base pan with a washable air filter.
All units have a washable air filter, 12-hour timer, two-speed cooling option and built with commercial high-grade plastic materials for better efficiency and longer lasting performance.
As a response to Filipinos’ demand for value-for-money products, Condura Extreme features a patented energy savings plug and power-off timer that cuts down electricity costs by up to 40 percent. The Energy Savings Plug is a special feature exclusive to Condura’s manufacturer, Concepcion-Carrier, and was designed with the Filipino consumer in mind.
“We have observed that Filipinos use their air-con differently, which is why we designed the Energy Savings Plug. Through the Energy Savings Plug, they can conveniently plug their electric fans to the air-conditioner before setting up the air-con timer. When the air-con switches off from the pre-set timer, the electric fan automatically turns on, allowing continuous comfortable cooling while saving up to 40 percent in energy consumption,” Rodriguez said. Aside from energy savings, Condura gives consumers better peace-of-mind with a five year warranty on compressor and an additional two-year warranty on all other parts. The Condura Extreme also comes with an added 5-year guarantee on system failure against rust on Durakote protected parts.
“We are confident enough to stand by the durability and reliability promise behind the Condura air conditioner product line, that we are giving it a competitive five-year warranty on compressors and a two-year warranty on parts,” Rodriguez remarked. “Filipino consumers can enjoy the comfort of their own homes with the peace of mind of knowing that their homes are cooled by a product built to last in even the most extreme conditions.”
