A classy Hennessy evening
A select group of Manila’s social set recently experienced an enchanted evening by sampling the premier cognac Hennessy X.O. considered by many as the “nectar of the gods.” The Hennessy team led by ambassadeur de la maison Jean-Michael Cochet and affable Moet Hennessy business development manager Randy Uson graciously showed A-listers various ways to savor the unique and delectable Hennessy X.O. Cognac. The Shangri-La Hotels Philippines area manager and Makati Shangri-La general manager Reto Klauser ensured the delectable combination of Hennessy cognac and the culinary feast at the hotel’s famous Shang Palace prepared by the internationally well-known, topnotch Makati Shangri-La executive Chinese chef Richard Thong. The dinner started off with the titillating Marinated Chilled Foie Gras with Passion Fruit Prawn well followed by with the delectable Three Treasure Ravioli in Superior Soup Scallop, Wintermelon and Crab Roe, Grilled Rack of Lamb with Hawthorn Herb and Strawberry Sauce, Fresh Crab Claw in Consommé with Soba Noodle and concluded with the Chilled Hennessy Pear with Rosella Jelly. The lucky invitees went home with the memory of an evening that will last for a long, long time. Among those who graced the affair were French Embassy, deputy chief of mission Hugues-Antoine Suin, Mongolia consul a.h. Jun Lagman, Studio 10.10 resident artist Niccolo Jose and manager Abel Jose, and Hoseki founder Faico and wife Zabeth, among many others.
