The Beacon gets mom's approval

-

MANILA, Philippines - One thing is true for every family and generation: Mother knows best. From dating the right person to eating the right food, Mom surely has something wise to say about it. This also includes making shrewd investments in properties, especially if Mom happens to be a whiz in real estate matters.

Rafael “Raffy” Hernandez, one of the proud owners of a studio unit at the Roces Tower of The Beacon, did not forget to consult his mother before investing in his current property. More than playing the role of dutiful son, Raffy always trusts his mother’s advice. Plus, Elaine Hernandez happens to be an experienced in real property matters herself.

Elaine used to broker real estate assets before venturing into her own business of selling novelty items. The commissions she earned from her deals were invested in several properties with excellent potential. True enough, the properties she acquired eventually appreciated in value. She earned quite a hefty sum when she finally sold some of them.

Indeed, Elaine has an eye for worthy investments, a quality that she immediately spotted when Raffy showed her The Beacon. “It’s very promising. It’s so affordable and it has a good location considering the price,” she shared.

The Beacon is a resort-inspired high-rise residential community and the maiden project of Geo Estate Development Corp. A status symbol in itself, its enviable address endows its residents with considerable advantage as it is located in a bustling section of Makati. Its proximity to the Makati Central Business District, leisure and recreation hubs complements the on-the-go lifestyle of its market, which is an interesting mix of small families, newly married couples and ambitious young professionals. Just like Raffy.

Raffy represents a typical buyers’ profile of The Beacon: career-driven individuals who are likewise savvy investors. He emits a powerful drive to succeed in his chosen career and desires the freedom that singlehood brings: more time to pursue hobbies and personal interests. He is both into music and sports. He plays golf, runs and navigates the trails with his mountain bike. He also strums the guitar or hits the drums on some occasions.

At a relatively young age of 26, Raffy has already snapped up his first property and fully paid, at that. That’s why he is his mother’s pride. “We (she and her husband) did not spend a single cent during the acquisition. He paid everything with his hard-earned money,” Elaine enthused. As a reward for his accomplishments, she volunteered to shoulder the cost of the unit’s furnishings.

All The Beacon residents can indulge to their heart’s content in its 450 square meter lap pool with two lap lanes in the center, a Meditation Garden, a bi-level fitness center for gym enthusiasts and a 20-seater private theater furnished with state-of-the-art equipment. It also has a kiddie pool for families with young children and a 300 meter long jogging trail with exercise stations in its three stops.

The Beacon is comprised of three towers that were named after the roads where they are located. Majority of the Roces Tower units are already primed for turnover to buyers. The Arnaiz tower is currently under construction. The last building, the Amorsolo tower will soon rise from its spot in one of Makati’s bustling road. Pre-selling of units is now on-going.

Happy with his first property venture, Raffy is also contemplating on buying another unit, this time, in the Amorsolo Tower.

That is, after seeking Mommy Elaine’s opinion first.
