Modern Living

Mobile in the metro

-

MANILA, Philippines - With the onset of the stormy season, flash floods are the perennial problem for the metro’s motorists and commuters. Floods also aggravate traffic conditions, making commutes far longer and even more unbearable. But there’s a quick solution in sight.

“Take the trains. LRT and MRT coaches arrive and depart at regular time intervals. The train tracks are traffic-free and not exposed to floods. Thus, you will arrive at the office on time and reach home at night hassle-free. If being mobile is your preferred way of life, then consider investing in a transit-oriented development,” advised Megaworld Central Properties Inc. president Anthony Charlemagne Yu.

The firm’s parent company, Megaworld Corporation, is the developer behind the best-selling, transit-oriented development in the metro today: Manhattan Garden City at the Araneta Center. This joint venture project with the Araneta Group is expected to infuse a strong residential component into the country’s first shopping and lifestyle hub.

TReach Makati via MRT3 or the University Belt via LRT2 within minutes by getting a unit at Manhattan Garden City.

Residents of Manhattan Garden City will experience mobility to the max since it is the only transit-oriented project that is connected to two train lines: the LRT2 and MRT3. Ortigas and Makati can be reached within 20 minutes via the MRT, while the University Belt and Katipunan area can be accessed easily via the LRT2 line.

A 729-meter, tree-lined walkway will link all phases of Manhattan Garden City to the grand transfer pavilion and eventually to Gateway Mall for the LRT2 line and Farmers Plaza for the MRT Cubao station.

Manhattan Garden City recently launched the 35-storey Tower B of Manhattan Heights — the third tower opened in the third phase — and ninth overall. “The spectacular sales success of Manhattan Garden City proves that Filipinos have accepted transit-oriented developments as a component of modern urban living, much like in highly urbanized cities such as New York and Hong Kong,” Yu declared.

Improve on your time in the lap pool, which is set amid vibrant tropical landscaping.

“More important, of course, is the environmental aspect. With more and more Filipinos being weaned away from purchasing and using cars, we are all doing our share in lowering greenhouse gas emissions,” he added.

The health aspect of residents is another bonus. Walking regularly to the train lines is a calorie-burning activity. Plus, the enormity of the number of amenities that line the green walkways will surely make them think of what activities to pursue once they come home.

Take a dip in the lap pool, host some games for the kids at the play area, or run 5k along the jogging path. Host a meeting at the business center. With more than 40 amenities and counting for the first three phases alone, you will surely have a grand time every day, especially during weekends, with your loved ones.

Since your home is within Araneta Center, there are many other things to do. Shop for a luxury item at Gateway Mall. Cheer for your favorite PBA team or watch a concert at the Big Dome. Set a romantic dinner for two at the Oasis.

Residents can look forward to a bevy of new Araneta Center shopping and dining delights at the ground floor arcade of Manhattan Heights.

And if you want some solitude amidst the big buzz of the city, all you need to do is go up. The four towers of Manhattan Heights host sky gardens at the top four levels. Finish the latest thriller in a corner nook beside vibrant landscaping. Or just listen to the newest hits while birds and butterflies keep you company.

This vibrant Live-Work-Play-Move lifestyle is yours to experience by investing in a stylish executive studio, one- or two-bedroom suite at the new Tower B of Manhattan Heights. Flexible amortizations start at only P20,000 for a studio unit.

Say goodbye to traffic and floods. Be mobile to the max in the metro by living at Manhattan Garden City. Call 810-3333 or visit the showroom at the third level of Gateway Mall.
