MANILA, Philippines - Manila Art 2011, the country’s largest art fair that brings together the premier art galleries and institutions to showcase the best in Philippine visual art, will be holding a series of live sketching sessions featuring the country’s top artists starting today, July 9, at Mercato Centrale in Bonifacio Global City as a prelude to the Manila Art 2011 art fair on August 24 to 27.  

The live sketching session will give the market-goers a unique opportunity to witness how different artists are able to render the same subject through different style-genres from scratch. The live sketching session also serve as an interactive experience between the artists, the subjects, and the spectators, allowing art enthusiasts a glimpse at how artworks are brought to life. Among the artists participating in the live sketching session this Saturday are Angel Cacnio, Edgar Doctor, Caloy Gabuco, Nemiranda, Al Perez, Ephraim Samson, Jun Martinez, Cee Cadid, Fil Dela Cruz and Raul Isidro.
