The thrill of the drill at Ace Hardware

-

MANILA, Philippines - DIY dads recently competed for the King of the Drill title at the recent Black and Decker Challenge at SM City Fairview. Held just in time for Father’s Day, participants drilled five screws in wooden planks in the shortest possible time using the Black and Decker cordless screwdriver.

Armando Orosolino was named King of the Drill 2011 in the Black and Decker Extreme Speed Challenge, and brought home great products from Black and Decker.

The audience was thrilled when Orosolino had a face off with last year’s winner Rhen de la Peña. Orsolino, who is the record holder for the fastest time for the past 10 years, emerged as the winner.

The event hosed by Reema Chanco and Aumar Aguilar was a fun filled day with a Black and Decker Power Tools demonstration where shopper could try out cool tools like the high-pressure washer for easy cleaning, the variable speed jigsaw for cutting wood, the powerful angle grinder for metal working projects, the hammer drill for drilling projects, and the cordless screwdriver for efficient home improvement projects.

Dads also enjoyed having their family photos taken at the Black and Decker photo booth, as well as viewing the “Build a Project” exhibit, and playing the You-are-on-the-Spot game.

ACE Hardware stores are at all SM Supermalls nationwide as well as SM Hypermarket in Makati and at Megacenter the Mall in Cabanatuan. ACE Builders stores are located at SM City North EDSA, SM City Fairview, and SM City Pampanga. For information, visit www.acehardware.ph.
