Feels like team spirit at Res|Toe|Run
MANILA, Philippines- Not everyone is capable of working on a team, but when one is made up of people who are, teamwork can be very rewarding. And when fired up by a shared purpose, every endeavor becomes a winning situation for everyone involved. This same inspiration has been taken to an “active” and holistic approach by Res|Toe|Run, the country’s first and only boutique destination for top-choice footwear selections, as it steps up its brand building campaign by motivating its people to develop their passion for work and sports.
To accomplish such mutual boosts for both the store and its people, Res|Toe|Run has established a comprehensive running clinic as part of its in-store training program for sales personnel. Dubbed, “I Run,” Res|Toe|Run’s in-store running program is specially designed for the company’s sales force in an effort to promote the benefits of the store’s running shoes brand collection. Mostly first-time runners, they were provided professional hands-on training by coach Isidro “Sid” Vildosola, a multi-awarded runner who took home top plums in various international and local competitions like the 2010 Asian Paralympic Games, the South East Asian Games and finisher at the 2008 Kinabalu Climbathon.
The six-month-long, weekly-held run clinic offers participants knowledgeable insights on running and how to make the most out of their training, stay injury free, and understand more about running.
“As one of the first companies to invest and fully adapt an honest and direct approach in introducing its people to the love of running, we are truly proud to initiate such run campaign. We were able to teach our people the values of sportsmanship, competitiveness and best of all, teamwork. This greatly motivated our people to reach mutual goals and harness camaraderie among co-workers,” says brand manager Joy Austria.
Just after the month-long sessions with coach Sid, two Res|Toe|Run sales associates Nadem Banista of Res|Toe|Run Gateway, and Daniel Vingua of Res|Toe|Run Festival Supermall earned the first win for the company in the recent Columbia Eco Trail Run in Baguio City. The tandem finished sixth and seventh, respectively, in the overall ranking.
In conjunction with the boutique’s successful running clinic is the in-store marketing campaign which is the continuous infusion of more high-end footwear brands under its “Run” category (which is made up of athletic and athlete-inspired running shoes) such as Columbia, the North Face, Salomon, and Olukai.
“The run campaign along with the fortified presence of the latest brands and models of running shoes in our retail outlets will definitely raise familiarization with our products. By doing so, the boutiques will also better accommodate customers of this particular niche market,” said Austria.
To solidly emphasize its commitment to bring more credibility to the active footwear brands, the salespeople and the Res|Toe|Run shops, the company is set to hold a grand “I Run” event in July at Nuvali, Sta. Rosa, Laguna.
“The company fully believes in the strength of credibility. This is why we decided to align a credible running clinic for our people for them to really personally experience the joy of running and attest to the genuine benefits of the sport and how the brands of the store are delivering these advantages.”
“By building more confidence in the brands that they are selling, not to mention the outstanding selection of Res|Toe|Run’s quality footwear products, our sales team are armed with reliable know-how and thus would generate greater enthusiasm among costumers,” Austria says.
Res|Toe|Run boutiques are located at TriNoma, Robinsons Galleria, Robinsons Ermita, Gateway Mall, Ayala Glorietta 4, Festival Mall, Ayala Marquee Mall, Ayala Cebu, Robinsons Laoag, Robinsons Dumaguete, Robinsons Gensan, Avenue Square, Naga, and Embarcadero, Legazpi City.
