Manila society’s big-wigs and lum-inaries in The art circle recently gathered at the Podium to witness the first solo exhibit of Faico, a multi-talented artist, award-winning jewelry designer and visionary founder of Hoseki, the country’s premier jewelry salon. Aside from the brilliant collaboration with Galerie Stephanie, the event also had the support of
Faico’s loving wife Hoseki corporate affairs director Zabeth Co and exceptional designer Knoi Esmane, among many others. It was a mesmerizing visual feast indeed as special guests saw first hand the magnificent collection of his paintings that were stunningly enhanced by the bold use of heavy textures and captivating movements. Through his awe-inspiring pieces, Faico successfully brought an intriguing and complex idea — the permanence of change to life through the use of two underlying metaphors: the pearl and Chinese calligraphy. Truly, his fascination with pearls has evolved into more than just a passion for jewelry design; it has become the perfect inspiration for creating thought-provoking visual masterpieces.
