MANILA, Philippines - According to Chinese tradition, the rabbit brings a year in which you can catch your breath and calm your nerves. This year, it’s best to focus on home, family, security, diplomacy, and relationships with women and children. Make it a goal to create a safe, peaceful lifestyle to calmly deal with any problem that may arise.
SM Homeworld welcomes the Year of the Rabbit with cultural performances, feng shui consultations, and lots of lucky charms and auspicious accents for the home.
The Kalilayan Folkloric Group will perform a Chinese Fan Dance. There will be free consultations with feng shui master William Hao on Jan. 30 at SM North EDSA, Jan. 31 at SM Megamall, and Feb. 2 at SM Mall of Asia. All activities will be held at 3 p.m. in Homeworld’s Decor Department. William Hao will be at SM Makati on Feb. 1.
SM Homeworld offers symbols of good fortune for the home. Check these out:
•Rabbit redux. Bring the rabbit’s serenity and gentleness into your home with figurines from SM Homeworld. Rabbit is a symbol of mercy, elegance, and amiability. People born under this sign are kind, peaceful, and quiet. They speak gently and have a loving nature.
•Potted prosperity. Beautifully crafted plants like peonies that bring love and wealth, and lime plants that attract prosperity and abundance can help bring positive energy into your home.
•Good fortune figurines. Golden buddhas, which symbolize happiness, wealth, and innocent joy; as well as dragons, fu dogs, and money frogs can attract harmony, balance, and luck.
•Lucky charms and lanterns. Lanterns symbolize the solidarity and wholeness of the family, and are said to bring good fortune, prosperity, and love. Lucky charms like pineapples and gold ingots, on the other hand, have specific ways of making this a better year.
All these items are available at the Homeworld Department of all SM stores.
