Taking dining to greater heights is Society Lounge as it recently opened its enchanting doors to media personalities for an afternoon filled with class and delectable cuisine. Society Lounge chef and general manager Patrice Freuslon prepared the most scrumptious dishes that clearly impressed everyone present during the luxurious gathering. With your columnist as host, seasoned chef Patrice Freuslon jumpstarted the plush affair with an appetizing duo of soups consisting of cauliflower soup with truffle oil and cream shiitake mushroom. A plate of Toquefort salad with grapes and apricots with raspberry vinaigrette followed, it was a joy to eat those crispy greens and savory dressing.
Along came a trio of main course treats: salmon fillet with champagne sauce, pork belly and lamb chops grilled with herbs. Words are not enough to describe the main course dishes as the guests’ senses were taken to a different dimension with its enticing plating and irresistible flavors. Capping off the extraordinary meal was the heavenly serving of crepe Suzette Cointreau Liqueur with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top of caramelized popcorn that satisfied the diners’ sweet tooth.
To say that the esteemed members of the media were impressed would be an understatement as they wanted to see and taste more of what this upscale and sophisticated dining and lounge hotspot has to offer.

A hip, coming of age party
Dynamic siblings Kev and Kar Gonzales, loving children of Muebles Italiano president Noel and Aileen Gonzales, recently marked their 21st and 18th birthdays respectively, with a one-of-a-kind joint birthday bash. Held at their magnificent home in Ayala, Alabang, the coming of age, pink-themed debut became a fun-filled celebration attended by family, relatives and a gaggle of their close friends. Kar’s classmates from De La Salle University and Kev’s buddies from Ateneo De Manila University harmoniously worked together as they organized a short, exciting program for the celebrators. Everyone had a blast during the party that lasted till the wee hours.
