Design the home of your dreams with HSBC home loan

-

MANILA, Philippines - Looking to feather your very own nest for the first time and don’t know where to start? Or perhaps you’re thinking it’s time to replace the bean bags, lava lamps, disco balls, and the rest of the furniture in your ‘70s-inspired living room? Maybe the family has grown. Or mom wants a meditation space while dad’s been dreaming about a poker room. Where do you start? What kind of look do you want? Country? Modern? Tropical? All of the above? The process can be overwhelming, especially when you don’t even know where to start or even where to find the money to get started.

These were just some of the many topics discussed at HSBC’s latest Home Loan event, which featured Philippine School of Interior Design (PSID) director Marcelo Alonzo, space maximization specialist Timmy Roa-Antonio, and HSBC deputy head of Personal Financial Services Annette Tirol.

Interior designers Antonio and Alonzo shared their suggestions on making the most of your space, the latest trends in interior design, and the dos and don’ts of decoration and renovation. Tirol told the audience about HSBC’s flexible Home Loan proposition with interest rates as low as 5.99 percent for the first year and discussed the steps involved in finding the home loan that best suits you to purchase that dream house or refinance your existing one.

The event was held at Makati Shangri-La’s Quezon Ballroom, which was decked out to resemble some of the various rooms in a typical home. Guests were also challenged to come up with their own layouts for spaces of different sizes and dimensions while enjoying traditionally Filipino noche buena fare.

Tirol said, “Our first event tackled the ins and outs of buying your first home: When and where to buy, what to look for and how to finance your investment — all the basics. And while we continue to welcome prospective homeowners as customers, we also want to reach out to those people in the next stage of creating their dream environments. For example, lots of people out there have just finished buying or building their homes and are trying to figure out how to make them uniquely their own. Others want their homes to more effectively reflect their changing tastes or address their new needs. Whatever your specific needs, HSBC can work with you to address them.”

HSBC Home Loan currently offers the lowest interest rate at 5.99 percent per annum under a one-year fixed re-pricing scheme.

“We also offer an added benefit for our HSBC Advance and Premier customers, who can enjoy 0.25 percent and one percent off, respectively, on the prevailing home loan interest rate starting on the next re-pricing period,” Tirol said. “To make it even easier, you can choose to pay either monthly or every two weeks, depending on your cash flow situation. If you prefer to take out your loan using another foreign currency, we can do that as well.”

Tirol added, “As the world’s local bank, we’re already known for our warm, personalized service and global expertise in wealth-building and wealth management. So when you get your home loan from HSBC, be assured that not only do we want to help you build your dream homes, we also want to help you build your dream lives.”

HSBC is one of the world’s largest banking and financial services organizations; the HSBC Group has been doing business in the Philippines for close to 135 years. The Bank currently has a 24-strong total branch network (including 16 branches of the locally incorporated HSBC Savings Bank) located in Metro Manila, Cebu and Davao.
