Food trip at Mercato Centrale weekend market
MANILA, Philippines - Are you tired of the same old run-of-the-mill food? Are you looking for a place where you can get together with fellow food enthusiasts and enjoy a great meal? Are you looking for a great tasting food adventure during the weekends? Then Mercato Centrale at Bonifacio Global City is the place to be.
Inspired by the outdoor markets of Mercato Centrale in Florence and the Boroughs Market in London, Mercato Centrale at Bonifacio Global City is an innovative weekend lifestyle market with unique, great-tasting food finds — from snacks, sauces, dry goods, frozen meat items, hot meals to pastries and desserts — that you won’t find anywhere in the metro.
Indulge in a gustatory feast such as fruit and vegetable shakes, an all-beef patty topped with bacon, melted cheese, and fried egg sandwiched between a glazed donut bun, apple and hickory barbecue dips, chicken inasal, vodka, tinapa dip, homemade yogurts, beef morcon, ice cream-filled mochi balls, pulled pork sandwiches, chocolate caramel cupcakes, organic balut, microwaveable chicharon, kinulob na Peking duck, truffle fudge, and Himalayan salt from over 150 Mercato Centrale partner stalls.
Mercato Centrale also has an extensive selection of healthy and organic fruits, vegetables, and livestock through its partnership with Pinoy Organics.com, a one-stop online resource about organic living in the Philippines by consumers for consumers.
On top of the fantastic food selection, Mercato has prepared fun activities like cooking demonstrations and live acoustic music performances that will keep shoppers coming back for more. The weekend market will also have Sunday Mass. With Mercato Centrale, going to the market (a dome-truss tent) has never been this clean, comfortable, and fun.
Organized by the same people who brought the highly successful Ultimate Taste Test and the Mommy Mundo events, Mercato Centrale promises to be the destination for foodies from all over the metro.
The Weekend Market in Mercato Centrale is at the corner of 30th Avenue and 9th Street, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig. The grand launch is tomorrow, Nov. 21. It will be open every Saturday and Sunday from 6 a.m. to 12 noon.
