George Sison launches book on meditation
MANILA, Philippines - Life-transformation guru George Sison is all set to launch his third book titled Soul Spa: 24/7 Meditations. Just like his first two best-selling books (A Miracle Awaits You and I Am A Winner: Feng Shui of the Mind), the third one aims to help people transform their lives and achieve their dreams and heart’s desires. And this time around, he recommends meditation.
“Meditation is easy to do once you know its purpose — which is to go within and get in touch with your inner strengths, inner guidance. You can do it with open eyes, while sitting in a bus, jeepney, cab, MRT or LRT, or in your car when you are not the one driving,” explains Sison.
Sison has been conducting guided meditation for three decades now for solace-seeking Filipinos in his life-transformation center in Makati, at the Temple of Prayer, Peace and Prosperity.
“Helping people reinvent themselves into a more positive, intuitive, inner peace-seeking, skill-building person was what I got busy with soon after I ceased to be a songwriter, society columnist, astrologer, and late-night TV host. The process I used is called New Thought which is not to be mistaken for New Age in any way, shape or form like many people do.”
Soul Spa 24/7 is a very handy little book that features 11 meditations that begins with “Happiness is a Decision.” Each meditation is prefaced by an evocative full-color photo.
The book launch will be held on Nov. 10, 6 p.m., at Stratford Residences, Picar Place, Kalayaan Avenue, Makati City. Vice President Jejomar C. Binay and Ambassador Amable Aguiluz V top the list of guests of honor that include former Senator Ramon Magsaysay Jr., Princess Miriam T. Kiram of the Sultanate of Sulo, retail magnate Zenaida Tantoco, 1974 Miss Universe Margie Moran-Floirendo, columnist-broadcaster Ramon Tulfo and Dancesport Philippines founder Becky Garcia.
