A sweet affair to remember
Notable personalities from the social, business and diplomatic circles recently flocked to the opening of the grand Italian Festival at the elegant showroom of FurnItalia, the country’s sole purveryor of Italian furniture located in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig. Brilliant FurnItalia managing director Florence Ko, together with gracious Italian Trade Commission senior trade officer Lyndon Albert Villanueva, played excellent hosts to a splendid night of “Dolce Italiana,” this year’s event theme that aims to promote fine Italian living through a series of interesting events that mix art with technology, design with function, tradition with development. During the affair, Italian Ambassador Luca Fornari, who came with charming wife Silvana, gave a few inspiring words, highlighting that the festival is indeed the perfect time to celebrate the “sweetness” of the partnership between Italy and the Philippines. Highly-esteemed guests were treated to an exceptional Italian night replete with a captivating serenade by multi-awarded tenor and pop opera singer Jonathan Badon, canapés and desserts prepared by the excellent Florabel which were simply delizcioso, and a raffling of luxurious furniture pieces from FurnItalia! Gracing the occasion were honorable Taguig Congressman Freddie Tinga and wife Kaye, among many others. Here’s to a successful celebration of Dolce Italia! Salve!
