Russian ballet comes to Manila
The Society for Cultural Enrichment, Inc., led by its president Angola Consul Helen Ong, recently forged a partnership with Ballet Manila, represented by artistic director Liza Macuja Elizalde, together with the Aliw Theater and Manila Broadcasting Company, in bringing the Russian Ballet to Manila. The Russian ballet committee, headed by chairperson Grace Palma Tiongco and co-chairs Baby Antonio, Mitzi Piad, Tess Castro and Baby de Jesus were welcomed by New World Hotel general manager Farid Schoucair with a cocktail party for the Russian ballet group who had their main event at the Aliw Theater. With sponsors such as San Miguel Corporation, Philippine Real Estate Festival, Up-close and Personal and Fucoidan, the event was well-attended by prominent personalities.
