Diamond Hotel's 24-carat new event venue

MANILA, Philippines - Diamond Hotel Philippines sparkles with its new premier event destination that boasts a unique venue for more inspired meetings, exciting celebrations and parties bound to be the talk of the town. 

Constellation at the Diamond Hotel is an elegant new space located at the hotel’s soaring 27th floor. The 766-square-meter function venue caters to several types of events and offers contemporary features, a sophisticated setting, and panoramic windows overlooking the picturesque Manila Bay. It is comprised of different areas, including an innovative snack center, an interactive culinary studio, a luxurious chairman’s room or executive boardroom, and a spacious hall that is divisible into five smaller rooms.

General manager Vanessa Ledesma Suatengco said that this glittering new addition marks another milestone for Diamond Hotel. “With Constellation, we are elevating guest experience to new heights with a stunning events place equipped with diverse facilities and a higher level of service which will be enhanced by the fantastic view of the Manila Bay.”

The Constellation experience starts when you step out of the 27th floor elevator to a lobby designed with folded linear patterns that give a three-dimensional illusion to the walls and become a chrome sculptural piece in varying depths. As you move along the hallway, you will see a corridor space with 28 aluminum perforated-grid lighting that gives a constellation effect in the evening. 

Aries, or the snack center, is a pre-function area with food stations that can best serve as a social area during conference or meeting breaks. The interiors show the interplay of different textures and colors with the carpet design matching the intricate glass etchings above the station. The area can be a coffee bar during daytime and full mobile bar for evening functions. 

Pisces or the culinary studio is a modern-day show kitchen furnished with full-capacity cooking facilities. It presents an avant-garde kitchen-design made from marble and onyx with formica. The trapezoidal-shaped island gives it a very sleek and stylish look. The venue can accommodate intimate lunch or dinner parties, school immersions with cooking demo, small meetings with actual cooking of the hotel chef for showmanship, and cocktails. Guests can bring their own chef who can whip up their selected dish. 

Leo or the chairman’s room is a luxurious executive boardroom with an elegant modular conference room from Cancio and plush executive chairs. The room is ideal for board meetings for 12 persons and may be booked for lunch, cocktails, and dinner. Two-toned colour contrast padded walls, a comfortable lounge-seating area, and baroque-inspired and state-of-the-art powder room heighten the exclusivity of the venue while the spectacular view of the bay makes it a more relaxed setting.

Constellation at the Diamond Hotel was designed by Juan Carlo Calma and his concept is based on creating different environments and maximizing the wonderful vistas of the Manila Bay. Uniforms were also created to reflect the look of Constellation.
