A new look for Robinsons Place Manila

MANILA, Philippines - Robinsons Land Corporation (RLC) has successfully embarked on the redevelopment of Robinsons Place Manila. Major facelift will be accomplished in three phases. With the first two phases now completed, and the third phase to be finished in October, the mall is gearing up for more shoppers.

Robinsons Place Manila’s modernization is in keeping with an increasingly discerning clientele. Apart from installing contemporary fixtures to create a fresh new look, timely changes have been made to accommodate increased pedestrian traffic. For this, wider and brighter hallways have been built. Also, an efficient system for tenant zoning has been implemented, so that mallers now enjoy added convenience and a more pleasurable shopping experience.

Robinsons Place Manila is roomier than ever with the addition of the new Sta. Monica Atrium. With a floor area of over 200,000 sq.m., the mall is able to accommodate more tenants for a wider choice of merchandise and services. This includes over 700 outlets for international and local apparel brands, shoes, sports equipment, fashion accessories, home fixtures and other items.

Among the new tenants are Howards Storage World (an innovative specialty retailer of storage and organizational products for every room in the home); E3 Games (online computer games for gaming enthusiasts); Xtreme Sports (merchandise for motoring sports such as jackets, driving suit, shirts, helmet, caps, gadgets, accessories); Paris Hilton (an international brand carrying bags and accessories); and Make Up Design Academy’s first store inside a mall (outlet for imported make-up plus a school that teaches proper make-up techniques.) Serenitea Cha Kitchen, an innovative bright and healthy tea store that is first in the Philippines to use a customized espresso machine for tea, will soon open its first mall outlet at Robinson Place Manila’s ground floor.

A new food court and atrium welcome shoppers.

Diners will be pleased at the flavor ranges provided by the restaurants serving local and international cuisines. For example, Maru Korean Cuisine has its first mall outlet there. Alternatively, the main mall has Kenny Rogers, Wendy’s, Joey Pepperoni, Pancake House, Kido Manga , Karate Kid, Max’s Restaurant and Aristocrat Restaurant., to mention a few. The Taste Buds Area is another food destination.   Check out the Midtown Wing, which offers several food choices like Starbucks, UCC Coffee Terrace,   Italianni’s, TGIFridays, KKK, C2 Classic Cuisine, Super Bowl, Coffee Bean, Recipes, Mangan, Figaro, Secret Recipe, Chocolate Spoon, Arya Restaurant, Jack’s Loft, La Piadina, and so much more.

The Food Court, too, has been improved with new dining tables and chairs offering a better dining experience. The modern storefronts and uniform look of food kiosks contribute to an uncluttered and more welcoming ambience. And expecting that a bigger crowd will be attracted to the area’s new and modern look, additional seating will be provided.

The attraction of Robinsons Place Manila does not depend on its merchandise, ambience or appearance alone. The quality of service is important, too. Recognizing that trained, efficient and honest personnel are a key component to making the mall a destination for modern, safe and fun shopping, steps are being taken to improve the quality of service through customer service quality programs. Negotiations with a valet concessionaire that will serve the Midtown Wing are ongoing and Taters will soon implement a snack delivery system inside the cinema during movie intervals.

Free WiFi is offered in designated areas. Travelers will also find convenience in the tie-up between the mall and travel agencies. A Travelers Discount Booklet entitles tourists and balikbayans to discounts and shopping convenience in the mall. To avail of the booklet, they just need to present their passport at the mall’s customer service counter.
