Citi introduces ultimate rebate card for everyday spending

-

MANILA, Philippines - Now, customers can get more out of their everyday purchases as Citibank launches the new Citi Cash Back Card, a rebate card that gives maximum savings on grocery purchases as well as on basic home utility expenses.

The new Citi Cash Back Card is another exciting addition to Citi’s diverse card portfolio, catering to the specific needs of customers who are practical and perennially seeking more value from their spending.

“We recognize the need of customers today to be wise on their spending and get the best value for their money, “With the new Citi Cash Back Card,” said Sanjiv Vohra, country head for Citi Philippines. We want to help them brave these financially challenging times with a credit card designed to give them more savings from their usual purchases. This is in keeping with our commitment of giving them rewarding experiences every time they use their Citi cards.”

The Citi Cash Back Card is the customer’s ultimate companion for everyday spending. As Bea Teh-Tan, cards business director, explains: “Any credit card can help cardholders get more of what they want, but only the Citi Cash Back Card can help them get more of what they need — savings on where they spend the most such as on groceries and utility bills. By rewarding them with great rebates, we are helping them provide more for their family’s basic needs.”

With the Citi Cash Back Card, cardholders get a five-percent rebate on all supermarket purchases at all groceries during all days of the year. This rebate offering is definitely something customers can enjoy on top of any other promo or discount that may be offered at the store.

Cardholders also get maximum savings on basic home utility expenses with the Citi Cash Back Card. They can receive a five-percent rebate on Meralco, PLDT landline and myDSL bills every month, which they can avail of until Dec. 31. To avail of the rebate, cardholders just have to enroll their Meralco, PLDT landline or myDSL accounts in Citi One Bill, a facility that automatically charges their bill to their Citi Card. Or, they can visit Citibank Online to pay for their utility bill using their Citi Cash Back Card account through payments and transfers for their card.

Moreover, the Citi Cash Back Card also offers cardholders 0.5-percent rebate on all other purchases. This means they can always enjoy the cash back from their purchases any time of the year without having to wait for special promotions to avail of savings. Each swipe of this card gives cardholders cash back they can use to pay for other expenses like home repair or payment for their kid’s school project.

“What’s great is that cardholders can easily get their earned rebates conveniently and automatically each month without the hassles of calling customer service to redeem. Just earn a minimum of P250 worth of rebates and these are automatically credited to your account,” shared Tan.

A Citi Cash Back cardholder can earn a maximum of P12,000 worth of rebates in one calendar year. That’s definitely much more than the annual membership fee of P2,800. In fact, that annual membership fee can be waived every year, for as long as the customer spends at least P180,000 a year, or P15,000 per month.

Apart from the rebates, Cash Back cardholders also enjoy a low interest rate of only 2.99 percent a month.

With the Citi Cash Back Card, you get more value from your hard-earned money with great savings that you can use for other important purchases.

So save on everything, everywhere, every day of the year with the Citi Cash Back Card. For inquiries, call the 24-Hour CitiPhone at 995-9999 or visit www.citibank.com.ph.
