Sometimes a friend’s transformation is so radical that it leaves an indelible impression in one’s mind. While shopping for groceries a few weeks ago, I was in the same alley as this lady who was smiling at me like a close friend would and I wondered why. She looked familiar but in my mind, “No, she can’t be the one.” Noticing that I was trying to place her, she blurted out her name and said, “Remember me, I was your travel agent for many years.”
Oh no, she couldn’t be. My travel agent weighed 150 lbs., which is heavy for somebody who is just five feet tall. To make sure that I wouldn’t doubt her identity, she came nearer and whispered, “I booked one of your trips to Europe in 1999 with your boyfriend then.” Before she could blurt out any more of my secrets, I gave her a big hug and an apology for not recognizing her.
It was Cinderella with her glass slippers right before my eyes. What a surprising transformation from the plain Jane, the overweight lady who I used to harass with my travel bookings that I would change 51 times before it got finalized. She knew she had to tell me how and when she started to have this J.Lo body so I invited her for coffee to a nearby Starbucks.
TA (travel agent) always had that burning desire to lose weight. Even in the late ’90s, she nurtured in her subconscious the idea that she would be slim and glamorous. Five years ago, she started to go to the gym but the battle of the bulge was too difficult to conquer. She considered liposuction, but was scared to death of the many horror stories she’s heard about it. She tried the non-invasive treatments offered by beauty clinics with very minimal results. Her target was to lose 40 lbs. Well, she initially lost 10 lbs. Long way to go.
Late last year, she met Dr. Sarah Tiongson who introduced her to Dynamic Lipo, a kind of non-surgical liposuction. The Dynamic Lipo Medical Machine was designed and is manufactured by an American-owned Israel-based company. Israeli surgeons have come up with a way to melt fat by using external high-frequency ultrasound paddles — very much like external ultrasonic-assisted liposuction.
The ultrasonic energy passes harmlessly through the epidermis and dermis to rupture the fat cells beneath. The ruptured fat will be flashed out by the body through its natural drainage system. The body can absorb up to 500cc. of liquefied fat per treatment.
The fat cell destruction is possible without harm to the under and overlaying muscles or other tissues as seen in standard external and internal ultrasonic-assisted surgical liposuction procedures, which are vulnerable to burns and other thermal wounds.
Compared to the surgical liposuction, Dynamic Lipo bears no body scars and is a medically proven safe procedure backed by medical studies and performed by medical doctors. All areas of the body are treated with more emphasis on the fatty areas such as abdomen, arms and thighs.
What about the sagging skin after the weight loss? TA explained that three days after every Dynamic Lipo treatment, the patient has to have a Spectrum XR treatment. Spectrum XR machine uses multi-polar radio frequency technology, which tightens the skin to avoid sagging or lose skin. Hence, the sagging skin is avoided or minimized. While she was having these treatments, she helped her body lose weight by doing light exercise like walking for an hour every day and eating moderately. She claims that her fellow Dynamic Lipo mates lost weight, too.
TA finally lost 40 lbs. and 12 inches all over in just a few months. She has a new sexy wardrobe, a new boyfriend who adores her new J.Lo. body and feels totally “reborn.” Needless to say, she does not want to go back to her fat old self, so she went to a nutritionist who taught her how to eat healthy. She goes to the gym regularly.
She credits her transformation to Dr. Sarah Tiongson and her Dynamic Lipo machine.
