Vivoce serenades Makati denizens at Ayala Triangle Gardens
MANILA, Philippines - An intimate summer concert at Ayala Triangle Gardens proved that the Makati Central Business District is more than just a workplace — it is also a place where leisure, culture and art thrive.
Vivoce, a leading all-male tenor quartet, serenaded urbanites with songs by Josh Groban, Andrea Boccelli, Il Divo and even U2. The concert, which was attended by executives, office workers, and residents nearby, featured a showcase of talent with sprawling greens and the lush environs of the Ayala Triangle Gardens as backdrop. It was the perfect way to cap a hectic workweek — to be able to enjoy operatic renditions in an outdoor-setting.
The Summer Festival at the Gardens was launched last April. The event kicked off with an Easter celebration, which featured a classical concert, a family sports day, and a host of other activities.
Since the Gardens opened to the public in late 2009, it continues to provide a green oasis for urban dwellers and serves as a venue for shared experiences that engage the community.
