With unique talents, skills and creativity possessed by almost every Filipina, the Ayala Group of Companies pays tribute to these exemplary traits with this year’s “Filipina, Bravo!,” an exhibition and fashion presentation in honor of the Filipinas who made an impact in building the various sectors of the country. A magnificent brainchild of Ayala Group of Companies chairman emeritus Don Jaime Zobel de Ayala and carried out by his daughters Bea Zobel Jr. and Sofia Zobel-Elizalde, the event was even made more glamorous with their collaboration with “Filipina, Bravo!” creative director Inno Sotto. A series of events such as a musical presentation, art exhibit and a fashion show featuring legendary and timeless designers Patis Tesoro and Criselda Lontok, knit queen Lulu Tan Gan, Paradi’s Patrice Ramos-Diaz, silk heiress Katrina Goulbourn and contemporary and fashion-forward designers such as Tippi Ocampo, Kate Torralba and Hindy Weber-Tantoco. Male designers also added their personal touch to the event such as Vic Barba’s interpretation of Gabriela Silang, Jun Escario’s Atang dela Rama and Cesar Gaupo’s Marcella Agoncillo among others. This event shows Don Jaime Zobel de Ayala’s passion for culture and the arts and his aim of promoting and bringing it to more people. Cheers to the Filipina spirit!
