MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine Italian Association (PIA) is proud to announce that it turns 48 this year. As a premier organization of Filipinos and Italian residents in the country, it has contributed significantly to promote business and friendly ties between both countries through various cultural and educational programs and activities.
PIA will hold its general membership meeting with a dinner reception today, March 6, at The Conservatory, The Peninsula Manila at 7p.m. The event is sponsored by Marks & Spencer, The Peninsula Manila and Rustan’s.
To make the night exciting and fun for its members and guests, the PIA board of directors led by president Nedy Tantoco have lined up activities such as an exhibit of paintings by Nino Quartana and Galleria Duemila; a silent auction of a Dudley Diaz sculpture, a Nino Quartana painting, a Murano sculpture, and a photograph about Florence by Romina Diaz; a sale of Murano jewelry; and raffle prizes are at stake such one gift certificate for a weekend stay for two at The Peninsula Manila inclusive of meals and a spa treatment; two gift certificates for a weekend stay for two at Baguio Country Club; two tickets to FLOW show and surprise raffle gifts from Marks & Spencer and Rustan’s.
Violinist and Musicologist Marc Christian Chua and the Manila Camerata Strings will play music from the masters of Italian classics.
