Furniture pieces that don't go out of style

-

MANILA, Philippines - Designers and homeowners now have a new source of elegant and world-class furniture and accessories with the opening of the new showroom Inspired Interior Ideas (IIIdeas) in Ortigas Center.

“We offer a more personalized approach to selling furniture, “says Jennie de Dios, principal designer of the firm. “Each piece is important and should be carefully selected and designed depending on your preferences and requirements.”

Housed at Parc Royale Condominium, the showroom highlights the potential for mixing and matching her pieces because they are flexible designs that satisfy both form and function. The firm also offers a full range of interior design services for homes, restaurants, resorts, hotels and offices.

Acknowledging the trend for minimalism and contemporary themes, De Dios often uses single and solid hues such as blue, brown and gray on pieces that bear classic elements. Her creations include center tables, side tables and media cabinets with marble or glass tops, dining tables with stainless-steel legs, as well as custom-made lamps and unique accessories. She also takes pride in her collection of Ivan Acuña paintings. “My objective is to come up with pieces that never go out of style,” she enthuses.

Surviving a recent bout with cancer, De Dios partnered with Singapore-based designer Jippi dela Rosa to bring new concepts to the local market. IIIdeas will soon open a bigger showroom on EDSA in Guadalupe, Makati, which will carry products from Hunter Douglas. Rustan’s Department Store will also showcase her designs in the store’s home department section.
