Fairy tales do come true

OH YES, IT'S JOHNNY! - Johnny Litton -

A happy union of two souls in love took place recently at the Grand Sunset Pavilion of Sofitel Philippine Plaza, which was transformed into a wedding chapel. Love birds and doves chirped in the background and white blossoms lined the aisles, highlighting the white-on-white décor, when Wally Salonga and Mable Chua were made husband and wife in a solemn  wedding ceremony. The charming couple, the children of Ronaldo and Gilda Salonga and Lino and Wai Nah Chua, couldn’t be more proud. Witnesses to this joyous union were Mayor Feliciano R. Belmonte, Jr.; Consul Eduardo L. De Guzman, Felix Ang, Eddie Chao, Sunny Leung, Roberto N. Del Rosario, Jerry Yap; Congresswoman Cynthia A. Villar; Deonna L. Tan-Chi; Rhodora V. Angping; Mable S. Chao, Judith A. Leung, Riza Chiu and Milagros T. Manapat. Wishing you the best of married life, Wally and Mable!

Honoring a brilliant man

It was a celebration of art and life as the gracious Letty Syquia hosted an exclusive gathering at her posh residence in Forbes Park in honor of the achievements of her longtime friend Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) president Nes Jardin. As a fitting tribute to the Rockeller awardee for the Arts and the man behind the CCP, the respected body of the Foundation for the Development of Arts and Culture (FDAC) presented Nes with a donation that he can use for Cultural Center’s Young Artists Scholarship program, the Arts of the People Program, and the Philharmonic Orchestra. Gracing the event were major donor and multi-Papal awardee Imelda Cojuangco, treasurer Cez Manalo of the CCP, secretary Letty Syquia, assistant secretary Olga Martel and executive committee member Tessie Luz.
