FCCP Christmas Bazaar
The Friends for Cultural Concerns of the Philippines (FCCP) is holding its annual Pre-Christmas Bazaar on October 28 (Sunday) at the Hotel Intercon,
Foremost among FCCP’s thrusts is the creation of an awareness of our country’s rich cultural heritage and the development of talented young Filipino artists. The FCCP Bazaar is one of the major fund-raising activities of FCCP to raise much needed fund for its noteworthy projects. Among which are subsidies to talented young musical instrumentalists and vocalists, outreach cultural programs held in public schools in and out of Metro Manila, scholarship grants, travel grants to attend master classes / seminars / workshops and similar activities. FCCP also gave financial help to the National Museum Foundation for training art teachers and museum guides.
This year’s bazaar will feature items such as: antiques, furnitures, jewelries, art pieces, silver items, ethnic products, Christmas decorations and ornaments, ladies, mens and children apparels, fashion accessories, toys, leather and beaded bags/shoes, shawls, native products, gift and novelty items, homemade delicacies and many others.
This fund-raising project is headed by Director Mimi Valerio, assisted by President Boysie Villavicencio, Chairpersons Imelda Cojuangco, Nene Leonor and Letty Hahn. Co-chairs are Gerry Contreras and Noel Gonzales with members Nikki Valerio, Grace Tiongco, Thelma Gana, Karen Macasaet, Tess Castro, Beth Cristobal, Helen Ong, Myrna Borromeo, Offie Recto, Cita Lesaca, Nonie Basilio, Nenuca Blardony, Rose Lazaro, Jimmy Laya and Mars Lambino.
