That’s entertainment at Liberty Center

The newest addition to Manila’s fast rising sites is the Liberty Center at 312 Shaw Blvd. behind the Archbishop’s Palace.  A wide variety of fast-food restaurants and outlets await enthusiastic shoppers and passers-by.  Liberty Center president and Georgetown master of international law graduate, Joseph Gallego, is doing an amazing job in developing this up-and-coming destination, with the ultimate goal of becoming the best in that side of town.

When it comes to entertainment, weekends at the Liberty Center have been gaining popularity because of the regular band performances.  Don’t miss the Saturdays of October as they feature crowd favorites starting tonight such as Route 70 on Oct 6, Retrospect on Oct 13, Hyperbeat on October 20 and Image on Oct 27.

A recognizable rehabilitation

Las Piñas City, one of the fastest growing cities in Metro Manila, was recently awarded the coveted “Best Practice Award for 2006” by the Dubai International Award and the United Nations Human Settlements Program through its Sagip-Ilog Project. Spearheaded by Senate President Manny Villar and Congresswoman Cynthia Villar, the project aims to preserve and revive the Las Piñas-Zapote River System while at the same time providing a viable source of income to the constituents. The program bested 650 best practices submissions from over 140 countries gathered by the Awards committee. Hardworking Rep. Cynthia Villar attributes the success of the program to the unwavering dedication of the people of Las Piñas in the continuous improvement of their living environment.
