Experimenting with zeolites
April 28, 2007 | 12:00am
It all began the day I strayed into Healthy Options with my little granddaughter Maxine, who wanted to buy a cookie. Once inside, my eye was drawn to a book, Beating Alzheimer’s by Tom Warren. I could not walk away from it. I simply had to buy it and then read it furiously.
Tom Warren thinks Alzheimer’s is caused by mercury in your tooth fillings releasing poison into your mouth, which finds its way quickly to your brain, which is easy because your teeth are so close. He recommends a dental program to remove all your mercury fillings, recommends the dentists who might do it. Thank you, they are all in the US. So immediately I knew this would be difficult for me to do for my mother, who has serious Alzheimer’s.
But it became clear to me that this theory may be applicable to Mommy, who was obsessive-compulsive about her teeth. That’s why when she decided not to wear her dentures recently, she alarmed me. Now that I read that even false teeth contain mercury, I was relieved she no longer wore hers. I wanted to examine her teeth, just to see how much more mercury remained but she adamantly refused to open her mouth for me to date. One day it will happen, I thought rather helplessly, but when it does, what? I have to find a qualified dentist here who will change all her fillings without releasing more poison into her mouth. Who can do that?
My friend Beth Micaller had been texting me all this time, inviting me to get together with her but we never could. Then she sent me an e-mail on a mineral called zeolite.
"Zeolites are natural volcanic minerals that are mined in certain parts of the world. When volcanoes erupt, molten lava and thick ash pour out. Because many volcanoes are located on an island or near an ocean, this lava and ash often flow into the sea. Thanks to a chemical reaction between volcano lava and salt from the sea, amazing zeolites are formed in the hardened lava over the course of thousands of years," I read in one of the forms she sent me. "All natural zeolites have been shown to remove heavy metals, toxins and other compounds from the body. . ." I was riveted by that statement and got this thought: Maybe if I can try these zeolites out on my mother, maybe they will eliminate or reduce her mercury poisoning. I read on.
"Mercury toxicity is a huge and alarming health problem that currently affects millions of Americans. . . Numerous studies have shown that mercury poisoning can contribute to more severe health conditions, including heart disease, Alzheimer’s and even cancer."
Okay, you got me now, Beth, I thought. I’ve got heart disease, Mom has Alzheimer’s, we’ve got to try this mineral.
I went to see Beth and saw the product in a small white plastic bottle with light blue markings on the label. It looked innocuous. She made me drop five drops on my tongue, there was a faint mineral taste, but very mild and inoffensive.
"It costs P2,500 per bottle but it will work miracles. It removes toxins from your body and so after the toxins are removed your body heals itself," Beth said. She showed me the comments of American doctors on zeolites. It looked like a powerhouse. Zeolite has helped address things as simple as acne and hyperactivity to autism, malignant uterine cancer, cancer wherever you have it, cirrhosis of the liver, diabetes, and fibromyalgia. What will it do for Alzheimer’s?
So today I launched an experiment. I bought a bottle for my mother and another for me. I instructed her caregivers on what to do and instructed mine, mainly me, to do the same. Then I shall report to you how this zeolite works on us. If you want more information on zeolite, call Beth Micaller at 724-1093 to 94 or text her at 0920-9073075. Tell her you read my column.
