A British carnival

A dash of color, a splatter of shimmer and a shower of gaiety filled the charming residence of British Ambassador Peter Beckingham and his lovely wife Jill as they hosted a carnival evening for friends in the diplomatic, society and business circles. Each guest came in their most vibrant outfit in this enchanting garden buffet dinner. Organized in aid of Philippine charities by the spouses of the heads of mission in the country, the unique event included a silent auction, entertainment and dancing. Congratulations for such a successful event!

By the way, your columnist was lucky enough to be invited as one of the judges to the much-awaited Mossimo Bikini Grand Prix 2006 this May 24, 8 p.m. at the NBC Tent. The exciting bikini competition, to be hosted by Bianca Gonzales and JC Cuadrado, will also have the beautiful Eula Valdez and the alluring Amanda Griffin as judges.
