A step in the right direction

It was a walk to remember at UNICEFs "Take a Walk on the Childs Side" walkathon at the Heritage Park in Fort Bonifacio. The walkathon was held to raise funds to uplift the state of childrens education in the country. The spacious grounds and verdant lawns of Heritage Park were indeed perfect for the event as the participants enjoyed the scenery and the fresh air while taking a stroll for charity.
Everyone was in high spirits as they helped make the undertaking a huge success from the enthusiastic walkathon participants of all ages to the cheerful and hardworking UNICEF volunteers and organizers. UN communications officer Dale Rotstein officially started the event, while hosts Heritage Park VP for operations Emir Tubayan and VP for sales & marketing Raquel Mendoza made sure everything went smoothly. After the long walk, the young ones had fun as they tried the face-painting booths and refueled from the food and beverage booths near the starting line. Families enjoyed bonding over a simple picnic at the green grass of the park, while some of the children had a grand time flying their kites. In the evening, everyone was treated to a musical extravaganza: a total of 19 bands performed for free to entertain the crowd. The funds raised by the event will be used to improve facilities in our public schools and upgrade the teachers skills.
Congratulations for a wildly successful event!
The worlds favorite crooner, Engelbert Humperdinck, is all set to make his mark in Manila as he serenades us with hit love songs from the past such as Release Me, Am I That Easy to Forget, and Quando, Quando, Quando There Goes My Everything, The Last Waltz, A Man Without Love, and The Way It Used To Be. The side-burned balladeer from Britain will charm Filipino hearts right here in the metro in Engelbert Humperdinck: Live in Manila (World Tour 2005) this June 24 at the PICC Plenary Hall, CCP Complex.
