Making (fashion) sense

OH YES, IT'S JOHNNY! - Johnny Litton -
It was an exciting night as Kitchie Benedicto’s well-organized team created a sensation among the numerous passersby along the open plaza of The Fort. Those who were lucky to witness the filming of Oh Yes, Johnny’s Back! in front of Caffé Puccini were awed by the grand preparations which were arranged solely for this event. A stage resembling a quaint Italian café was masterfully decorated to give off a relaxed, al fresco setting.

A fashion parade showcasing sophisticated casual and evening wear by leading designer Lyle Ibañez was made even more glamorous with the artistic guidance of fashion director Joey Espino and the enticing strut of shapely and statuesque CalCarries models. Bb. Pilipinas Universe 1997, Supermodel 1992, beauty expert and personality enhancement professional Abbygale Arenas-De Leon lent her own expertise when she shared her thoughts on personality enhancement and carried out the makeover of eye-catching Snapshots models in the contrasting styles of the ’20s Betty Boop and the modern, fresh look. It is certainly an episode to remember!

Watch it tonight at 11 p.m., RPN 9!

A Night Of Ballet And Paintings
The Friends for Cultural Concerns of the Philippines (FCCP) recently featured dancers of Ballet Manila at its annual Artists & Friends Cocktail Musicale, which was held at the luxurious residence of Belgian Ambassador Christiaan Tanghe and wife Gul. Also exhibited were the paintings of FCCP scholars, members, and special friends. It was an elegant evening of beautiful ballet and fine arts amidst a lush garden setting resplendent with silver lame décor. The FCCP is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year.

The FCCP hosts this event every year to give young and promising artists exposure to a select group of appreciative patrons, in line with its objective of promoting the development of the performing and visual arts.

The program concluded with Chit Gohu, director of the special events committee, acknowledging all sponsors and committee members who helped in ensuring the success of the undertaking.

Congratulations on your successful event, FCCP!

More Good Boracay News
My favorite getaway in Boracay, the Boracay Regency Beach Resort, unveils its newly-renovated café just in front of the beach. Prince Hendrik’s is a fully air-conditioned restaurant which serves the most sumptuous treats for fun-loving and adventurous food lovers. Craving for a generous serving of fresh seafood such as succulent prawns, rich crabs and spicy squids? Prince Hendrik gives off a distinctly Mediterranean ambiance, is the definitive place for a bountiful banquet with friends and family. Savor island juices, fresh fruits and shakes in a bigger and better spot that’s just a few steps away from the inviting waters. Boracay Regency chairman and president Henry Chusuey made it that way, so that all guests of the hotel are right in the middle of the action. Together with resident manager Jade Estardo and the rest of the Boracay Regency staff, they will make your Boracay experience a most pleasant and cherished one.

Visit the Regency and be mesmerized!
