A spate of intimate farewell parties took place throughout society Manila upon hearing of the reassignment of the much-loved Canadian Ambassador Robert Collette and his wife Marilyn. One of these parties was thrown by the lovely Monaco Consul Fortune Ledesma and the beautiful Agnes Huibonhua.
It certainly was a delightful gathering that saw the attendance of prominent names in the diplomatic corps. The reception was filled with gay laughter and fond recollections, with a warm atmosphere that can only be felt among dearest friends. The honoree, on the other hand, was thoroughly moved by the presence of those who grew near to his heart.
Seen wishing the ambassador well were a number of consuls including Evie Costa of Togo, George Yang of Seychelles, Helen Ong of Belize, Miguel Guerrero of Jamaica, Vince Carlos of Ivory Coast; ambassadors including Mario and Sylvia Schuff of Argentina, Mohamed Taufik of Malaysia, Kheng Hua Lim of Singapore, Christian Krepela of Austria, Ariya Rekawa of Sri Lanka, M.
