Botox your B.O. away

My boyfriend is really adorable. But he has one major problem and that is, he sweats too much. And when he sweats, he emits some kind of body odor. Oftentimes after a game or two of bowling, I want to rush to go to dinner but he has to shower and change because of this. A friend of mine told me that Botox injections are not only for a wrinkle- free forehead but also for the purpose of reducing sweat and eliminating odor. How true is this? And what are the other solutions to body odor? Fiona
Your girlfriend is right. Botox, a bacterial toxin that paralyzes the tight muscles that cause wrinkles, has been tested for other uses. A new study shows that Botox injections can reduce body odor by shutting down sweat-glands. When we sweat, we produce skin-surface bacteria that cause the pungent smell associated with body odor. Botox minimizes sweat and the production of skin surface bacteria. Several people were put to a test: One armpit was injected with Botox, the other not. They were not allowed to put deodorant or change their shirts for 24 hours. The armpit that was injected with Botox was drier and odor-free. The armpit that was not injected had intense odor and perspiration. The explanation being that Botox may foster favorable odorous substances by rebalancing the gland sections or preventing unpleasant smells from skin surface bacteria. Consult a dermatologist. This could be the solution to your boyfriends condition. Another solution to the body odor problem is taking chlorophyll tablets that are found in health stores. Chlorophyll cleanses the blood of impurities and also cleans the intestines so it is also helpful in getting rid of bad breath. But it does not eliminate sweating. Why not try both. Being odor free and sweat free could be a liberating experience to those who suffer from this condition.
Very recently, I lost a friend who was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. He was 45 years old. He lasted 12 weeks. And soon after, a young and pretty popular model succumbed to this disease. And I was told that Jackie Kennedy also died of NHL. I never heard of this cancer before, so what exactly is it that nobody seems to survive from it? Margaret
A key player in the bodys immune system is the lymphatic system. It includes the lymph nodes (which are found in the abdomen, chest, groin, neck and underarms), the adenoids, bone marrow, the spleen, tonsils and thymus gland. The intestines, skin and stomach also contain lymphatic tissue. Cancer that develops within the lymphatic system is categorized as Hodgkins or Non Hodgkins. In the latter, the bodys ability to fight off infection is decreased because very few normal white blood cells are produced. The cancer can spread through the lymphatic system to the other parts of the body. NHL can be low grade, (slow growing) intermediate or high grade. Both intermediate or high grade NHL are fast growing and can be deadly within one to two years. Some cases of lymphoma are linked to viral causes. In other cases, the cause is unknown. But risk factors include heredity, immune system dysfunction, exposure to herbicides, pesticides, or black hair dye, diet high in red meat, AIDS, and other immune-depressing therapies. It is the fifth most common cancer in the USA. The symptoms vary: If the cancer is in the abdomen, it can cause nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain or enlargement; in the chest, shortness of breath and cough; in the brain headaches, vision changes and seizure; in the bone marrow anemia; in the thymus shortness of breath or feeling of suffocation and coughing. A biopsy can be done on the lymphatic system to detect if there is any cancer present, and what type it is.
I am so attracted to one of our bank tellers. However, because I am high up the corporate ladder, I cannot allow myself to be tempted. I invited her to a cocktail party once with some officemates, and I noticed she turned a lot of heads. She is really very alluring and I am truly tempted! Mario
Office romance is not for the habitual cheaters or the indiscreet. Think a million times before risking career or reputation on a thoughtless dalliance. Ordinary romances could disrupt your home life but will not affect office life. In the workplace, a man who cheats on his spouse with a subordinate faces double jeopardy of a broken home and a career nosedive. Is your career worth the most alluring bank teller? If you must do it, look beyond the workplace.
