Bewitched by Boracay

Boracay is rapidly becoming a family destination. Where before I would always see groups of friends, yuppies and company employees on an outing, recently I espied more families taking in and breathing in the marvelous vistas of the Philippines most famous beach. It all made me smile the giggles of kids burying their little limbs in the powdery sand, the frightened shriek of a mother hanging on to her banana boat, and the sight of a father playing captain at the sailboat. Yes, the prices for food and sports activities are higher than normal, but its all worth it if you want to have an extraordinary family experience to last a lifetime. Even your list of hotel options seems endless. Theres the Boracay Regency Beach Resort, the islands largest and most luxurious hotel. Located on Newcoast is Fairways and Bluewater, with its homey Asian interiors, complete appliances and world-class golf course designed by Graham Marsh. In the middle of the beach strip is the cozy Le Soleil de Boracay and a new hotel called Seraph.
The developments in Boracay are quick and overwhelming. How we hope that these developments will be accompanied by improvements in the main road. Before you reach either end of the island via the main road, youll feel like youve suffered through three rounds in a bout with Mike Tyson!
Despite this setback, why do I find myself returning again and again to Boracay, like a lost child longing for his mothers arms? Because theres no better place to go to for solitude, rejuvenation or a vacation with the family. Take a look at the pictures and you be the judge.
