GOOD IN BED
October 27, 2001 | 12:00am
Netting like this usually comes complete with a spoked wooden coronet that opens like a fan to support it.
Here, the spokes have then been decorated with dangling glass ornaments to make the netting look more exotic than utilitarian.
Plain white netting is very appealing, but it can also be dyed in any pale color.
You Will Need
mosquito netting, with
coronet and fixings
dangling glass ornaments
and earrings
fine wire
long-nosed pliers
ceiling hook
One: Fan out the spokes of the wooden coronet and fit them into the channels of the netting.
Two: Thread assorted glass ornaments, beads and earrings on to lengths of fine wire to make decorative pendants.
Three: Thread the wire ends through the netting at the bottom of the spokes. Use long-nosed pliers to twist the ends together to secure them.
Four: Attach the ring and rope provided to the center of the coronet. Hang the net from a ceiling hook above the bed.
